That is a very unspecific question. How do you start the game? How do you get out of the cellar? How do you start the first round? Where do you get dice from? A little more information about what you're having problems with and on which platform would be really helpful.
Yes, I had already tried to find that out, apparently it saves the data in a kind of browser cookie, similar to the browser version. I have not yet found a way to export saves from Android/browser somehow. Unfortunately it's a bit complicated in rpg-maker.
I found out this game has a memory leak issue on Arch Linux XFCE Desktop, on Linux and Browser version. This is easy to replicate by opening and closing the menu multiple times. Each time you open the menu ram usage will increase and if done enough, your machine can get overloaded. I think the android version also has this issue, I haven't tried it but I had played other rpg maker games on android that also get slow whenever you open the menu.
I recommend restarting the game whenever you feel it getting slower. On PC, have a task manager open to monitor ram usage. I didn't notice the game getting slower on my machine before it got overloaded.
This issue is fairly common with rpg maker games. I also tried the Windows version with Wine (it translates Windows2Linux) and it also has that bug, but ram only increases by a few mbs so it's usually not a problem and it's very unnoticeable. I don't know if this is a problem when you run this on Windows.
Your newer games like Dampftraun don't have this issue though, so that's good ^^
Thanks for reporting! Often this is caused by plugins. I also had this in Dampftraum, but was able to find it there, it was a defective preload plugin. I never noticed it with Nekomata, also because I use a different plugin for the preload. But you're right, unfortunately this happens relatively often in Maker Games. In the meantime, I have also switched to RPG Maker MZ. It runs much better and more smoothly. I'm slowly working on a prequel (Plop Neko), but I'm already planning the concept for Nekomata II ~Immortal Lies~. Resources and graphics are also being prepared. The development will start when Plop Neko is finished. Unfortunately I am very busy at work and at home. It may well be that I will make only slow progress for another year. But I try my best! Buggy Game?? everytime i try to play it, it runs for like 10 minutes then kicks me off the game and restarts it?? how can you have fun if your android phone just kicks you off and makes you restart from last save??? grrrrr
What phone are you using? Unfortunately, Maker games on Android are pretty resource hungry even if it doesn't look like it. Do you have the possibility to play another version?
You played the old version of this game befor and there are gamedata left in your System. Go to Option and try "Delete Game Data" this should be fix the issue
I finally beat the game, after 30 minutes of farming 116 dice, I beat it like 30 minutes to 1 hour later :). (a total of 1-2 hours, or more. I am using the save files to calculate time)
I think I just got way too lucky, or who knows, maybe some higher being just said "Ok! There! Now stop procrastinating!" I remember it took me so many tries the last time I played it and I never got it. I probably only loaded the save less than 10 times. I was surprised because I didn't know there was going to be an actual ending, I thought you were not supposed to beat the game.

Honestly before beating the game i thought it was actually impossible, too the point where I would just leave the game while blue balled. But one day, I actually just decided too beat the game, not out of horniness, not because I was bored but because I was too stubborn too actually leave the game unfinished, so I played for days and days until I got too today where I finished it. And when I tell you the moment I reached the end, I yelled across my entire home and then I just baked a cake too congratulate myself for doing it. I love being arrogant, because I can do stuff like this without second guessing it. Great game, I very much like it!!
At times I felt like the game was too difficult, for the first time I wished a porn game was easier. Part of me still preferred it that way because I like a challenge. This was truly a painful challenge though. I was being tortured, always clinging onto hope that maybe this time I’ll make it much farther or the time after, maybe if I sell her body and tear away a bit of her soul she’ll have a better chance, maybe if she dies a few times she can make it. But I barely made progress most of the time, I started to think that the dices are rigged and there’s no way to win actually, no matter what I do, even if there was, time was running out, and the sanity of my character was depleting. Yet, I still kept playing and I still tried to win because the game always tried to tell me that there is a chance I can win by allowing me to make a little bit of progress. Any time I found myself getting through a difficult obstacle or finding myself making more progress than usual, I told myself that there is a chance, but any time I fell into the same loop again, I wondered: “Is the game playing with me? Tricking me into thinking that there’s hope”. Those thoughts came with the desire of giving up, but I still kept clinging onto hope. So I continued… and continued… and continued…. And continued…. And continued… and continued… and continued… and- oh bad ending. Time to try a new strategy, attempt number 498
This was the only way to describe why the storytelling in this game was so good. I came here with love for horror and cat girls, then later as a horny sadist wanting a fictional character to be tortured, only to end up realizing that ironically I was the one being tortured, just like her. Making the player think exactly the same thing that the main character is thinking about is excellent storytelling, and I was impressed when I reflected on this game.

The game is slow for my potato arch linux, but I found it odd how it got slower as I went on, and exiting the pause menu or the transitions made the rest of the game slower. The solution was always to restart the game. It may be because of a plugin, plugins tend to be bad on low-end computers, but if it’s a plugin it’s probably not worth removing. (Note 3/27/2023: I will no longer use my potato arch linux to play most porn games, I went back to using my main pc + steam link. I got a spare router that I can locate on the same room as the pc, this made it so I have no lag when I play these games)

The game is good but my problem is I can't save the game in the middle of rolling dice, and then the lagging will come then a few seconds the game will automatically closed and I gotta do it all over again, I'm 4 blocks from scaping then the game automatically closed it's very annoying

I think there is should be a timer after you roll the die that auto selects what whatever your on or cancels the roll. The closer you are to the end the shorter it is. Maybe 0.5-1.0 sec per square left.
Also the game closed on me after the snail came out to say hi. No idea what he does. But very interested, I'll try and find him again
The bug with the snail is strange. I will take a look. Your idea with the time is a cool thing for a hard mode etc. But at this time i focuses on new stuff. But i write it down. Maybe i implement it later.
I'll admit wholeheartedly I cheat a little in games by changing my saved data so I can play through them faster. I do this cause I don't have as much time as I'd like to play these games. After about 15 minutes of searching for the saves, I now realize that you put some kind of encryption, checksum, or something else. I applaud you cause I've never seen anyone else do this with their own games of this kind and while I'm salty, I'm impressed. Keep up the good work, this game is unique and fun with what little I have played. While I doubt I'll be able to get ending A in a month because I have no time, I'll keep pushing my luck with these dice.
The Saves works a bit different in the game. Its no a encryption. But if you like to see ending A, i can try to capture it and share with you on Youtube. The gameplay is a bit boring so i think try to cheat is not a shame ^^ i try to capture all endings this week and ping you here. Hope this helps you to enjoy my game more!

Thx for the input. I play this nativ on my Steamdeck (have no other linux system) and Unlock Ending C for testing. It works fine for me, the Unlock Screen is available. I'm not a linux expert, has the game other save issues? A normal Save works for you? Has the game all Write permission in the folder?

I'm currently finishing chapter 1 of Dampftraum, and developing Neko Plop on the side, which is a prequel to Nekomata (War Against the Ancient One, her capture) When those 2 things are done I'll start Nekomata 2, which is planned to be much bigger. How I will publish this I don't know yet. (Maybe chapter by chapter)

But, I got another question, you say that Neko Plop is a prequel of Nekomata, but, what about Nekogotchi, it connected with Nekomata story, like after true ending we see Neko's trainings in Nekogotchi, so the story wil go that way:
Try to die or wait for dice so many times that you have a total of 12 points in the trees. Go to the guardian and trade dice for favors (heart symbol) until Nekomata is desperate enough to lick his tentacles. Go to the statue on the left and give up.
In order to get A you need to NOT wait too many years, otherwise the arrow at the beginning of the maze will turn red. (it has to stay green) I completed it with like 70 - 75 dice, so it's doable. To get B you have to die many times so the arrow at the beginning turns yellow. Strategy: the guardian gives you 5 dice for each time you die so you can use them to lose on purpose right at the start, then you can get dice by waiting but be careful cuz the arrow will turn red if you wait more than 60 years (I think).
Well earlier I could go to the black ball for dice. Now all I get is "Him: I threw the dice in the leftovers." and without me clicking anything she immediately "I can't take it anymore! GAME OVER"
If I go to the statue instead I can click on something before it says again "I can't take it anymore! GAME OVER".
If I go to the gate then it says I have no dice. If I just stand around nothing happens.

I'll try to explain the bug. I had an old version of the game and completely reworked it. I have implemented many mechanics new and also changed some variables. Now when you play the new version it can happen that you still have old data in the cache that affect. Therefore it is best to empty the browser cache completely for Itch.io, delete browser data. But I don't want you to lose game data from other games, so try to clear all game data in the options first. (at the bottom) I would be happy if you contact me again if one of them worked :)
I tried everything I could think of... never made it to 100 steps left. So, I decided to get as many as I could by waiting. Started with 99 dice, got lucky with the rolls and landed on a bunch of dice refills and coasted along without much worry. Then I hit 85 steps away and my luck turned uglier than the death by pillar scene, I rolled low numbers often and frequently got stuck between kill zones. Ironically that's the only time I rolled high numbers after 85. Didn't matter since the higher roll still would have landed me in a trap. I spent about 5 dice on average trying to get out. Low numbers meant death; high numbers meant death, 4 and 3 seemed to be the magic numbers, but 1,2.5 and 6 were the order of the day. I ran out of dice at 37 steps left. By far my best run and something I haven't been able to replicate.
I'll be honest, I wanted to get it done last year, but my personal and professional life has been difficult the last 5 months. I've started working on it again and finally want to get it done. But something can come up again at any time. Which is why I prefer not to give out any promises or deadlines. I wish I could develop more consistently and more often. Thank you very much for your interest and the question! I see that there is clear interest in the game, and i'm also very motivated!
So genuine issue I am encountering is that the game is unplayable, on both my windows laptop and android phone (despite nekogotchi working fine)
The PC issue is that all the assets that are supposed to appear above the black void background disappear almost immediately as soon as the game is loaded (happens on both the browser and downloaded versions of the game)
The android issue is that there is no .apk file to download, so it can't be an app, and trying to use the web version doesn't work when I attempted to use it, both doesn't load any assets (besides the menu) above the void, and hitting 'New' to start a new game just causes the game to be stuck on the loading screen
I think the starting story for the game sounds interesting, but I am unfortunately unable to play it in any capacity. Any ideas what may be causing the issues and how to fix them?
The next version will also be much better :) worth waiting for. I would like to dev faster but currently it is not easy. Thank you for your patience! First tests on Android have been really great results! I like the game on this device!
I am hoping that every version makes improvements (some AAA game developers didn't get that message, lol). And I imagine it will be worth waiting for. I have no clue how hard it is to develop a game, or any programs, but I can believe it is hard and time consuming, not to mention things in life will always take priority. Good first impressions on Android devices is definitely a good sign

Take note of it, save it somewhere where you will see it when you decide to work on the game again. You might never do this if you don't take note of it
While the gameplay is basic, I had a pretty good time playing this. One thing I note, when you get within 2 spaces or are next to a death space, the game rolls me dice that would kill me about 4 or 5 times in a row. That is to say if I'm one square from a death square, the game will roll 2 constantly, same thing if rolling a 5 or 6 would kill me. I don't know if you somehow programmed that in or if its some weird bug but I feel like it really adds to the hopelessness this game is suppose to bring, as if the warden is deliberately messing with the dice. Additionally, the sprite work is beautiful, many people don't sprite dark or grimy colored games often.
As for new players that see this, I played the game with the max amount of starting dice (10+80 from waiting the longest time possible) and made it to the end with ~20 dice despite everything. I think its possible to lower my time to 2 max waits. Take basic probability into account as well, avoid landing on squares that force you to roll very high, very low, or on squares that bring your roll options below 3 possible numbers. In reference to my above statement, you will burn dice trying to roll just right.
Wow, thanks for the detailed feedback! I'm currently reworking the game, but the mechanics won't change much. The dice are really random! I don't manipulate anything there at any time.

There are some practical changes coming in the new version.
For example, a display at the beginning which end you would see at the finish, as well as a display how the chances of success of this round are.
And of course Adult contend which opens new possibilities to get dice :)
But it also remains a classic variant playable.

Okay, try to talk with the keeper. If its not working go to options, Use "delete all savegames" then start a new game. Hope it helps.
You become your first dice from the keeper, but if you played a older version of the webversion once ago, it is possible to have some Savegame bugs.

I'm currently finishing chapter 1 of Dampftraum, and developing Neko Plop on the side, which is a prequel to Nekomata (War Against the Ancient One, her capture) When those 2 things are done I'll start Nekomata 2, which is planned to be much bigger. How I will publish this I don't know yet. (Maybe chapter by chapter)
Some New Artworks for Nekomata 2 are in making :) i plan some things in advance.
In Nekomata 2 we will experience her time with the Ancient One. She has to serve him and at night she tries to find a way to stop him forever.

Great game! got the three endings (A, B, C) but I'm not quite sure on how to get the real ending, could you give us a hint? or did I miss something?
How did you get A and B? I only managed C by waiting till I got 116 dice and barely limping through after getting double debuffed
In order to get A you need to NOT wait too many years, otherwise the arrow at the beginning of the maze will turn red. (it has to stay green) I completed it with like 70 - 75 dice, so it's doable. To get B you have to die many times so the arrow at the beginning turns yellow. Strategy: the guardian gives you 5 dice for each time you die so you can use them to lose on purpose right at the start, then you can get dice by waiting but be careful cuz the arrow will turn red if you wait more than 60 years (I think).

The game is broken currently, there is no way to progress and get dice without a game-over screen. Looking forward to the fix :)
Sounds Strange, can you try delete your Savedata in the Options? Can you describe the bug more specific?
Well earlier I could go to the black ball for dice. Now all I get is "Him: I threw the dice in the leftovers." and without me clicking anything she immediately "I can't take it anymore! GAME OVER"
If I go to the statue instead I can click on something before it says again "I can't take it anymore! GAME OVER".
If I go to the gate then it says I have no dice. If I just stand around nothing happens.
I have no clue how other people are able to play this
Deleting save data did the trick for some weird reason
I'll try to explain the bug. I had an old version of the game and completely reworked it. I have implemented many mechanics new and also changed some variables. Now when you play the new version it can happen that you still have old data in the cache that affect. Therefore it is best to empty the browser cache completely for Itch.io, delete browser data. But I don't want you to lose game data from other games, so try to clear all game data in the options first. (at the bottom) I would be happy if you contact me again if one of them worked :)

Played off and on for 3 months... my record is 37 steps left. Bad luck can't last forever, right?
With how many dice do you start?
In the new version you get more opportunities to get dice. But if you are unlucky it can be really frustrating.
I'm hurrying and currently putting every day off into it.
I tried everything I could think of... never made it to 100 steps left. So, I decided to get as many as I could by waiting. Started with 99 dice, got lucky with the rolls and landed on a bunch of dice refills and coasted along without much worry. Then I hit 85 steps away and my luck turned uglier than the death by pillar scene, I rolled low numbers often and frequently got stuck between kill zones. Ironically that's the only time I rolled high numbers after 85. Didn't matter since the higher roll still would have landed me in a trap. I spent about 5 dice on average trying to get out. Low numbers meant death; high numbers meant death, 4 and 3 seemed to be the magic numbers, but 1,2.5 and 6 were the order of the day. I ran out of dice at 37 steps left. By far my best run and something I haven't been able to replicate.
Wow, not making it with 100 dice is rare. Since you really have a lot of bad luck with the dice. :(
In the new version you can collect more than 100.

I'll be honest, I wanted to get it done last year, but my personal and professional life has been difficult the last 5 months. I've started working on it again and finally want to get it done. But something can come up again at any time. Which is why I prefer not to give out any promises or deadlines. I wish I could develop more consistently and more often. Thank you very much for your interest and the question! I see that there is clear interest in the game, and i'm also very motivated!

I can set language to english, but then have no way to get back to previous menu to start a game. Also, no way to open options from the game.

So genuine issue I am encountering is that the game is unplayable, on both my windows laptop and android phone (despite nekogotchi working fine)
The PC issue is that all the assets that are supposed to appear above the black void background disappear almost immediately as soon as the game is loaded (happens on both the browser and downloaded versions of the game)
The android issue is that there is no .apk file to download, so it can't be an app, and trying to use the web version doesn't work when I attempted to use it, both doesn't load any assets (besides the menu) above the void, and hitting 'New' to start a new game just causes the game to be stuck on the loading screen
I think the starting story for the game sounds interesting, but I am unfortunately unable to play it in any capacity. Any ideas what may be causing the issues and how to fix them?
The next version i working on would run on Windows Android and Mobile inc Touch UI.

I am hoping that every version makes improvements (some AAA game developers didn't get that message, lol). And I imagine it will be worth waiting for. I have no clue how hard it is to develop a game, or any programs, but I can believe it is hard and time consuming, not to mention things in life will always take priority. Good first impressions on Android devices is definitely a good sign

I finished the UI rework today.
The new version should work with keyboard, mouse and touch on Windows, Web and Android.
Now I start to rework dialogs and switch the new Busts etc.
But I'm only making slow progress. Little free time for it :(

While the gameplay is basic, I had a pretty good time playing this. One thing I note, when you get within 2 spaces or are next to a death space, the game rolls me dice that would kill me about 4 or 5 times in a row. That is to say if I'm one square from a death square, the game will roll 2 constantly, same thing if rolling a 5 or 6 would kill me. I don't know if you somehow programmed that in or if its some weird bug but I feel like it really adds to the hopelessness this game is suppose to bring, as if the warden is deliberately messing with the dice. Additionally, the sprite work is beautiful, many people don't sprite dark or grimy colored games often.
As for new players that see this, I played the game with the max amount of starting dice (10+80 from waiting the longest time possible) and made it to the end with ~20 dice despite everything. I think its possible to lower my time to 2 max waits. Take basic probability into account as well, avoid landing on squares that force you to roll very high, very low, or on squares that bring your roll options below 3 possible numbers. In reference to my above statement, you will burn dice trying to roll just right.
Wow, thanks for the detailed feedback! I'm currently reworking the game, but the mechanics won't change much. The dice are really random! I don't manipulate anything there at any time.

There are some practical changes coming in the new version.
For example, a display at the beginning which end you would see at the finish, as well as a display how the chances of success of this round are.
And of course Adult contend which opens new possibilities to get dice :)
But it also remains a classic variant playable.
